If sales has ever felt fake, pushy, or tiring to you, you’re not wrong. The problem isn’t you — it’s the old way of selling you were told to use.
A style that treats talks like deals to be won, turning real conversations into scripted back-and-forth.
We work together by listening closely and asking the right questions, helping buyers find their own answers without pressure.
Sales doesn’t start with the close. It starts with understanding.
The Learn–Listen–Close method is a practical way to approach sales conversations: prepare before you speak, understand the person in front of you, and use what you learn to guide the conversation forward.
Build the knowledge and understanding you need to be useful, credible and prepared for the conversation.
Listen closely, ask thoughtful questions and focus on understanding what the customer is really telling you.
Bring together what you’ve learned and heard to help the customer make a clear, confident decision.
You don’t need to act a certain way, memorize pushy sales lines, or pressure anyone into buying. We teach a practical, human approach built around understanding people, solving problems and helping customers make confident decisions.
Maybe you’re new to sales. Maybe selling is only one part of your job. Or maybe you’ve always thought, I’m just not a salesperson.
We help you build the knowledge, confidence and skills to sell effectively without relying on pressure or canned scripts.
ou know your business. You know the value you provide. But turning that expertise into consistent sales conversations can be harder. We help teams build a clear, practical approach to understanding customers, communicating value and guiding the conversation.

The Sales Educators was created by Alan and Penny Schuster to make sales easier to understand and easier to teach.
Alan brings years of hands-on sales leadership, training and coaching experience. He’s spent much of his career helping salespeople build confidence, improve their conversations and understand not just what to do, but why it works.
Penny brings a Ph.D. in communication, along with a background in education and research. She helps turn those real-world lessons into clear frameworks, practical tools and learning experiences people can actually use.
Together, we built The Sales Educators around a simple belief: sales should feel human, practical and teachable - not pushy, scripted or intimidating.
Our goal isn’t to be the smartest person in the room. It’s to help you become more confident, capable and effective on your own.
We teach sales in a way that helps you understand what works, why it works and how to adapt it to the customer in front of you. Not so you can depend on us for the right answer, but so you can learn how to find it yourself.
Because good teaching should build independence. And our success isn’t measured by how much you need us. It’s measured by what you’re able to do without us.
Build skill, not dependence.
Teach principles, not scripts.
Measure success by your growth.

Long before The Sales Educators, Alan was teaching, coaching and training salespeople. Here’s what people who have learned from him have to say.
“Alan really opened my eyes with how to do sales. He made classes fun and was very approachable—more like a person than a teacher, which is exactly what I look for in a teacher. He brings a lot of liveliness and energy to his classes, and he taught me so much. I think anybody who learns from him will benefit greatly. Alan Schuster is an amazing teacher, and I highly recommend him.”
“Alan makes sales relatable and easy to understand. I had so many lightbulb moments while I was training with him. He makes learning fun, explains things until you really get them and is always someone you can go back to with questions. I went from zero knowledge in sales to feeling ready for anything. I would absolutely recommend working with Alan.”
“I came into Alan’s training with a background in commercial banking and sales, but he helped me understand how important tone is when you’re talking to customers over the phone. His classes were well run and organized, questions were encouraged and he always took the time to explain things so everyone understood the lesson. I would work with and train under Alan again.”
Whether you’re new to sales or looking for a better way to approach it, we’ve built practical tools to help you understand customers, strengthen your conversations and grow your skills.
